Karen Adams
ASTD Volunteer with the Programs Committee
If you have attended any of our programs, you can imagine all the work it takes behind-the-scenes to deliver a professional, enjoyable event. Our events just wouldn’t happen without the dedication and talent of volunteers like chapter member, Karen Adams. She was at the ready to help wherever she could at the January event and provided a warm welcome and friendly reception at the registration desk for the March 6, 2006 program. She also served as the co-event lead and mentor for program committee volunteers for the March session.
Karen has also attended the Transitions SIG and made many connections to other chapter members that have led to lasting relationships.
Karen shares: “Volunteering is part of my DNA, my family’s culture. My grandmothers volunteered and worked fulltime. My dad received a 40-year pin from one organization. You meet the best people. Some of my closest friends I met through volunteering.”
Well, we are fortunate the “volunteer gene” runs strong within you, Karen. Thank you for sharing your skills and time to benefit the chapter!
