Presenter Information

Thank you for your interest in presenting to ASTD Cascadia Chapter. We are always looking for a mix of local, regional and national speakers to offer insightful, educational and thought provoking session to our members. We invite you to complete and submit our Speaker RFP in order to be reviewed as a potential speaker for our Chapter. Various program committees review all RFPs submitted and, if yours is not selected for a program event in the near future, we will retain your RFP in our database for future consideration.

Currently, we have needs for speakers in the following areas:

  • Best Practices
  • Measuring Results ROI
  • Training Challenges
  • Leadership
  • Facilitation Skills
  • eLearning Strategies
  • New and Emerging Trends in Learning and Development
  • Panel Discussions with Practitioners

We have an immediate need to build bench strength in our ongoing Professional Development programs, including:

  • Fundamentals of Training (needs assessment, course design, training methodologies, presentation skills)
  • eLearning Strategies (foundation concepts in elearning, designing elearning programs, building elearning systems, managing the ongoing elearning function)
  • Managing the Training Function (from training to managing, linking training to organizational performance, project management and action planning, developing and managing a training team)

If you have a topic or expertise that is not on our list that you feel would benefit our membership, you are welcome to submit a proposal for consideration. We look for presentations for training and development professionals ranging from new to the field to mid-level to senior practitioners.

All of our presentations should reflect the National ASTD Competency Model.

We generally do not pay a fee to our presenters. We ask that presenters donate their time at presentations and workshops in exchange for visibility to our membership. We expect that all presenters conduct themselves professionally and do not use the presentation as a sales pitch. If presenters have product(s) they wish to make available to our members, please include that information in the proposal and we will supply a table for product display.

Thank you for your interest.
