Succession Management in the New Economy

Overview
Is your company ready for the end of the recession? If you haven’t developed a succession management program, or reviewed your existing program in light of the recent recession and pending recovery, you may not have the right people in place for your long term success.
In this highly interactive 3-hour workshop, participants will explore how best to establish or re-set an effective succession management program in the wake of the ongoing economic climate. Rob Peterson and Jeff Johnson will provide insights based on best in class examples and their diverse experiences. Participants will be able to apply their knowledge to develop an initial succession management plan of action, tailored to their organization’s unique culture and strategic needs.
Outcomes
At the conclusion of the workshop, participants will have a better understanding of the process and tools required to develop or re-set a robust succession management program. Topics and outcomes will include:

Rob works with clients interested in maximizing their organizational effectiveness, as well as providing cutting-edge career management and talent management solutions.
Prior to joining Right, Rob worked as the Director of Organizational Development and Communications for Copart in Fairfield. His expertise in the training, consulting, and organizational development field were honed while working with Integral Training Systems as Director of Sales and Consulting, and with Behavioral Technology/Provant as a Regional VP and Director of Strategic Partnerships.
Rob began his career as a Human Resource professional working with high tech firms such as Talley Industries, EiGen Video, and the Grass Valley Group division of Tektronix, all as a Director of Human Resources.
Rob has a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Psychology from California State University, Sacramento with a concentration in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and Business Administration.

For the last 10 years, Jeff has been leading strategic talent management projects, building leadership teams, creating performance management systems, and developing talent acquisition strategies. Jeff has worked with a variety of public and private companies, as well as with large healthcare systems. He has worked as a management consultant for most of his career, but also directed the Legacy Leadership Programs for Legacy Health System for three years. He conducts professional seminars and workshops in Strategic Talent Management, Organizational Development and Design, Organizational Leadership, and Strategic Human Resource Management. Jeff holds a Ph.D. in Industrial & Organizational Psychology.
