Fundamentals of Training

Overview

The Cascadia Chapter presents our popular Fundamentals of Training series. The sessions have been re-designed and are specially geared towards those new in the training field who need an overview of these subjects.

Hundreds of Oregon and southwest Washington professionals have built their training skills in this hands-on 5-session series. If you are new to the training profession or just wish a refresher in certain skill areas, then this series is for you!

Fundamentals of Training is offered cooperatively by ASTD-Cascadia Chapter and Portland State University (PSU) School of Extended Studies. Each session is 3 hours in length and will be facilitated by a highly skilled instructor for that specific session. You can register for each session separately or for the entire series.

Participants may receive 1 hour elective credit from PSU if they elect to pay a small additional fee, take all 5 sessions, and complete a required project. The lead instructor designed for this course will work with any students who take the course for credit. If you are planning on taking the series for credit, please read the information on credit registration at the end of this section.
