Title Training and Development Technical Specialist

Responsibilities

The goal of the WebTrends Training and Development Specialist is to develop and deliver world-class training solutions that provide customers with the necessary technical skills to effectively implement and manage their WebTrends solutions. The position is responsible for both the development of training curriculum as well as the delivery of the training.
Primary Responsibilities
• Deliver technical, classroom-based training to WebTrends customers using established courseware
• Design and develop training programs, courseware, and materials for WebTrends classes
• Conduct informal training and provide guidance to customers in implementing best practices

Interaction
This position is a customer-facing position. Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with customers is required. Ability to understand customer requirements and our products and then combine and translate that information into increased customer success is critical.
This position operates in a team-oriented environment. As a result, the incumbent must build and maintain strong and effective working relationships internally with the sales, sales engineers, account management team, product management, customer support and product marketing.

Supervision
• This is an individual contributor position.
Required Education
• College degree or equivalent experience

Requirements

Required Experience/Skills
• Minimum of 2 years experience in one or more of the following areas: training, curriculum development, web development, product support, or consulting in a high-tech environment.
• Strong presentation skills required and experience providing classroom training to adult learners highly preferred.
• Strong technical writing skills required and experience in developing formal courseware highly preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non technical audiences verbally and in writing.
• Experience developing e-learning desired but not necessary.
• Knowledge of internet and Web technologies such as HTML, Flash, JavaScript, portals, AJAX highly preferred.
• Ongoing desire to stay current with software market and the latest technologies.
• Strong work ethic focused on providing excellent customer service.
• Accountable, determined, diligent and focused.
• Relentless about results.
Working Conditions
You must be a self-starter, as this job is a position requiring extensive travel. Travel requirements will vary but should average around 50%.

The company is located in Portland, Oregon and applicants will be required to work in the Portland office.
