Learning Leaders Forum
2010 Census Results: What This Data Means to our Work as Trainers
with Tim Rahschulte, PhD, George Fox and Christian Kaylor, State of Oregon
Intended Audience
The Learning Leaders' Forum is designed for workplace learning professionals who have a minimum of 10 years of workplace learning experience (or equivalent) and are responsible for developing workplace learning strategies. These programs are designed to offer strategic insight and time for round table interaction with peers.
Overview
As we continue to adjust to the new normal, we see many new pressures and challenges that Learning Leaders need to stay on top of and address. The economic climate continues to have an impact on the decisions made about learning and training in organizations. On top of that, changing demographics continue to present challenges to those of us who are making learning activities happen in our companies.
Our two dynamic presenters will offer insights about and suggestions for responding to the following concerns:
- What do these new workforce trends mean to learning and development professionals?
- As learning leaders, how can we respond to the divergent needs of the different generations and cultures in these workforce trends?
- How do we address the dual demands of filling knowledge and skill gaps AND play a role in the engagement of employees as they begin to see opportunities elsewhere?
- What should we plan for in the upcoming year? How can we be both strategic and tactical in our planning?
- What methods and tools can we use to develop learning programs that respond to these issues?
Join us as we spend some time learning about and discussing these challenges and planning how we can address them in the upcoming year.
