Intended Audience
Anyone who is preparing to submit a work project for their CPLP certification.

Overview
ASTD (American Society for Training & Development), the world's largest organization of workplace learning and performance professionals now offers the Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP).

Professionals in the learning and performance field who have a minimum of three years related work experience may apply for certification, though five or more is preferable. Earning your CPLP credential may soon be a basic job requirement for entry into this field.

After passing a comprehensive knowledge exam (pre-requisite) CPLP Candidates submit a work product that is graded by the national organization.

Participants can expect to:

  1. Select one of the five areas of expertise (AOE) for their work sample.
  2. Identify their work product topic (project work) based on ability to meet requirements.
  3. Discuss the work product requirements with the class.
  4. Collaborate with colleagues who have successfully navigated the work product process.
  5. Write a draft of the work product sample and supporting essay questions to prepare for the submission deadline.

The work product submission deadline for the March and May 2012 test window is August 24, 2012.
