CEUs

The conference is offering a variety of CEUs and/or recertification credits. Please check below for any that may apply to you.

The Conference has been approved for one hour of elective college credit through PSU. These are not CEUs but actual college credit. You’ll need to:

  • Sign up for the conference (preconference is not part of the credit).
  • Pay the additional $75 credit fee on the registration form.
  • Complete one additional piece of paperwork with the ASTD office (they will contact you once you’ve signed up for credit).
  • Attend the entire conference.
  • Prepare a paper in accordance with the lead instructor’s directions (information will be sent via email to anyone taking the conference for credit.

 

HRCI Recertification LogoHRCI Recertification Credits
This program has been pre-approved for 7 Strategic Business hours for recertification credit hours toward PHR, SPHR and GPHR recertification through the HR Certification Institute.

The conference can also be used for 7 General recertification hours.

The program ID number will be available at the conference and by request via email.

CPLP LogoCPLP Recertification Credits
CPLPs earn one recertification point/credit for each physical hour of continuing education within one’s current role/job or involving a new experience or content. ASTD Chapter conference sessions are listed as eligible continuing education activities.

You will need to keep records of the conference sessions and prepare any paperwork required by National ASTD. Click here to visit the National ASTD CPLP web site.

NOTE: Register for the CPLP Exam Prep Course at Portland State University’s exhibit and save $100! Discount available only to ASTD chapter members who register for the class at the 2011 ASTD-Cascadia Regional Conference.

Logo ISPIISPI Certified Performance Technologist (CPT) Recertification Credits
CPTs (Certified Performance Technologist) who attend our events can earn points toward their recertification. A person who has already received their CPT must earn 40 credit hours every 3 years to maintain their certification.

Calculating Continuing Education Points

  • 1 point = 1 to 2 ½ hour programs
  • 3 points = 3 to 5 ½ hours or a half-day program
  • 6 points – 6 to 8 ½ hours or a full-day program
  • 9 points = 9 to 11 ½ hour or day and a half program
  • 12 points = 12 or more hours or a two or more day long program
  • 6 points per credit hour for credit academic programs
