ASTD-Cascadia is delighted to invite you to the 2009 ASTD-Cascadia Regional Conference, The Evolution of Learning, September 23-24, 2009 at the beautiful Salem Conference Center. An array of workshops will provide intensive, interactive experiences for every level of workplace learning professional, tracking the evolution of the learner, classroom, organization, and learning professional.

Keynote speaker for The Evolution of Learning will be Greg Bell, author of “Water the Bamboo,” and an inspirational, motivating presenter. Greg combines humor and high motivational energy with practical advice – an unbeatable combination for the people he helps to develop outstanding relationships and communication practices.

The 2009 Cascadia Conference will also offer three general sessions addressing the ASTD competency model, “The Evolution of Learning into Virtual Worlds,” and “Creating the Best Teams in the Worst of Times.”

In addition, we’re presenting an exciting pre-conference event, on Tuesday, Sept. 22.
Patti Dobrowolski, a nationally-acclaimed performer, business consultant and keynote speaker will be the pre-conference presenter. Attendees at her intensive session will learn a powerful visual approach to creating strategy and preparing for change..

CPLP Recertification
CPLPs earn one recertification point/credit for each physical hour of continuing education within one’s current role/job or involving a new experience or content. ASTD Chapter conference sessions are listed as eligible continuing education activities.

Check the CPLP Candidate Bulletin for further information about acceptable credits for CPLP recertification.

HRCI Recertification
General sessions are approved for 8.25 recertification credit hours. Participants can receive 1.5 strategic hours each for breakout sessions with Sarazin, King and John.
