Contract Opportunities

Photo of People This service is an excellent way for our members to get business with companies seeking workplace learning resources and for those companies to be connected with high-quality resources.

When a company calls and ask for a referral for a training resource, we certainly want that company to hire an ASTD Chapter member! So, we ask the company to provide us with information about their specific training needs. We then send an email about this contract opportunity to our Chapter members who have requested to receive this type of information. We also refer callers to the Consultants Directory for additional possible training resources.

If You're a Chapter Member and Want to Know About Contracts

If you want to receive such emails, just email the ASTD office and let us know. This is a benefit for Chapter members only. You'll receive emails on any contract opportunities we send out. You'll respond directly to the requestor. The Chapter does not "vet" these opportunities and makes no claim about their validity or worth.

If You're a Company Looking for a Training Resource

If you are a company and want to receive names of training resources, just email the ASTD office with information about the type of resource you're looking for. We'll send an email to our members who've asked to receive such emails and they will respond directly to you. You can also check out our Consultants Directory as not all members have signed up for the contract opportunity email service.

We find certain information helpful in allowing our members to self-select their interest in the opportunity you have and to reduce your time involved in reviewing responses. The information includes:

  • Specific details about the project itself
  • When do you want the project to happen, how often, for how long
  • Specific qualifications or experiences you're looking for
  • Deadline for response
  • Whether compensation is involved
  • Name of company and person asking for information
