Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the development, management, and implementation of the activities involved in the design, preparation, and delivery of training and development programs for company managers and employees, ensuring programs assist in maximizing the functional and strategic effectiveness of the organization.

  • Assesses company development needs in management development, interpersonal skills, technical and communication training.

  • Designs, develops and/or conducts training around needs.

  • Develops yearly training plan and curriculum including budget needs.

  • Manages and approves technical training curriculum.

  • Develops and/or approves content, methods and materials for training purposes.

  • Delivers effective training classes using appropriate methodologies.

  • Develops methods to evaluate and measure effectiveness of delivered programs.

  • Acts as consultant to managers on the development of educational tools to support planned changes in employee skill levels and/or competencies. 

  • Prepares lesson plans including methodology, media, and documentation.

  • Manages coordination and assessment of outside vendors.

  • Manages coordination of training schedules, certification and class participation.

  • Partners with HR Business partners to design customized organizational effectiveness training/workshops.

  • Manages training staff to effectively meet organizational goals/objectives.

  • Develops and implements marketing strategy to support and communicate training programs.

Requirements
  • Ability to marshal resources (people, funding, material, support) to get things done, can orchestrate multiple activities at once.
  • Ability to effectively train in a variety of presentation settings, to command attention and improve knowledge base of recipients, and to effectively manage the group process.
  • Knows how businesses work, knowledgeable in current trends and developments.
  • Strong OD knowledge and experience with employable tools.
  • Ability to focus on customer expectations and requirements, consistently monitor quality, and to establish effective relationships with customers.
  • Ability to direct others effectively by establishing clear directions, setting stretching objectives, and monitoring process, progress and results, is a people builder.
  • Ability to understand groups and what they do, what they value and how to motivate them.
  • Ability to learn on the fly - a relentless and versatile learner who will experiment and try anything to find solutions, enjoys the challenge of unfamiliar tasks.
  • Decision quality needed to make well thought out, well executed decisions.
  • BA/BS degree in organizational development or related field, minimum 10 years experience in training and organizational development in a corporate environment.
  • Proven ability to manage others.
