A Message from the VP of Conference
This year the Conference Committee has been hard at work behind the scenes planning a premiere conference experience for our T&D community, both locally and beyond. In fact, our theme for the March 2007 conference is “Beyond the Edge…Maximize Your Competitive Advantage”. Being the chapter’s third regional conference, we have the advantage of building upon the excellent foundations of the past two years to bring you an expanded day and a half of highly engaging and relevant topics at our exciting new venue – the Oregon Convention Center.
Our committee consists of highly dedicated volunteers who are working hard to bring you the best in keynoters, breakout sessions, and exhibitors along with planning an innovative and creative atmosphere to make this conference truly memorable and fun!
Check out our conference website, accessible from the chapter’s homepage. There you will find a wealth of information about all aspects of the conference. Interested in presenting, sponsoring, or exhibiting? You’ll find it all there. We are currently accepting RFPs for breakout sessions (deadline October 10th). If you have a great topic that fits one of our tracks, we’d love to hear from you. We are also still taking applications for sponsorships. There are many benefits and perks available for sponsors. If you have a product or service you feel the training community could utilize, become an exhibitor. One of the things you will discover is that we are all about the “care and feeding” of our speakers, sponsors and exhibitors!
And if you have been thinking about getting more involved with the chapter, but just haven’t gotten around to it, now is the perfect opportunity! We will need many volunteers for a variety of positions leading up to and during the conference. For just six hours of volunteer time, you can earn a $50 discount off the conference fee. Visit the conference website and sign up to volunteer.
Whether your interest is in speaking, sponsoring, exhibiting, volunteering or just attending, we hope to see you in March as we go “beyond the edge” to bring you this exciting learning event designed to take your professional development to the next level!
