A Message From the VP of Geographical Interest Groups (GIGs)

Here's a little bit of information about me and what I do for a living. I consider myself one of the oldest ASTD chapter members still standing (!) and I'm a trainer and facilitator specializing in interpersonal communication skills, giving presentations, instructor training and training in facilitating meetings. I also facilitates team building sessions, staff retreats, Board training programs and conflict resolution sessions.

As the VP of Geographic Interest Groups (GIGs), I have been excited about the opportunity to connect with our members outside of the Portland metro area and facilitate conversations and discussions about how to bring learning and development professionals together.

Trainers in the Eugene / Springfield area have a very active GIG (known as the Lane County GIG) and I've been helping in getting another GIG going in the Salem area. We also have trainers interested in establishing a GIG in the Bend/Redmond area and our members in Southern Oregon are beginning to network as well.

I'm more than happy to talk with any members outside the Portland metro area about becoming involved with any of these GIGs. Give me a call!
