About my role with ASTD - I am thrilled to be representing ASTD-Cascadia Chapter as its VP of Marketing. Through collaborative efforts, we have worked hard at getting the word out about the wonderful programs/services that exist right here in your backyard. It takes a lot of behind the scenes work to ensure you are aware of all of the things that happen to make your chapter shine.

About my background in the industry - I have spent the past five years in the training and development industry. As a Senior Trainer for a major insurance company, I work primarily on development projects, including LMS implementation. On a personal note, I love to fish and sing.

Why I stay involved - As a parent of two boys under age 3, you can imagine my time is limited. I make time for ASTD for two reasons. First, it’s the primary resource for professionals in our industry. There is no other training and development organization existing on this planet that provides such high quality programs/services. Second, I believe what we give to others is ultimately received from others.

So, do some fishing. . . check us out. . .attend a program (like the Thiagi program coming up on August 2nd!). . .let us know what you think. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
