Being a part of the ASTD-Cascadia Chapter, first as VP of Marketing, and now as VP of Membership, has changed my life! You cannot believe the personal and professional growth I have experienced as a result of this outstanding organization. Truly incredible! 

About my role with ASTD - I am humbled to be representing ASTD-Cascadia Chapter as its VP of Membership for 2005. I am fortunate to be taking over this role at a time of opportunity for the chapter and geographic area we serve. There is no better time to join as companies look to expand in this growing economy. 

About my background in the industry - I have spent the past six years in the training and development industry. As a Senior Trainer for Safeco Insurance, I work primarily on development projects, including LMS implementation. On a personal note, I love woodworking and spending time with my two and four year old sons. 

Why I stay involved – I have learned through personal and professional experiences that it is very important to make an impact in the communities where we live. Being a part of a dynamic organization like ASTD has shown me that I can make a difference over and above anything that I do on a professional level. It is that impact that defines how I see my life and the examples that that I want my children to learn by.
