A Message from the VP of Marketing
ASTD-Cascadia Chapter is embarking on several exciting marketing initiatives this year focused around our 2007 focus areas of institutionalizing cultural competence and building internal and external chapter awareness of our services and programs. To support these goals, the marketing committee has been actively developing strategies and tactics, including developing timely, relevant, and compelling communications and outreach in support of programs and membership. Marketing is also reaching out to new audiences to help diversify ASTD Cascadia’s membership and partnership base, including expanding the definition of what it means to be a training and development professional and reaching out to new groups that can benefit from being a Cascadia member.
Other big initiatives this year include a redesign of the ASTD-Cascadia Chapter web site, marketing and communications campaigns to publicize our great line-up of programs throughout the year, and outreach to attract new members and partners from diverse personal and professional backgrounds to the organization.
I am looking for more volunteers to assist the marketing committee with the web site and marketing communications. Please contact me if you are interested in getting involved. I look forward to seeing you at a future meeting!
