Message from the Board

A Message from the Secretary

Even though spring does not officially begin until March 21, I am starting to spot daffodils and crocuses reminding me how exciting it is to learn something new. ASTD members have some new and exciting things to look forward to in the up coming spring months that I want to share with you. Here are a few things you may be interested in taking advantage of.

Speaking the New Language of Performance Consulting
To make meaningful contributions within organizations, professionals in the Training and Development field need to move beyond their traditional training roles to focus on performance. Dan Vetter is presenting a powerful presentation on Tuesday, March 14, 2006 about how to link our role—and the services we provide—to bottom-line business performance.

Professional Development
Portland (April 6 and 7) and Bend (April 27 and 28) programs! Are you new to the training field? Do you feel like you need a refresher of training basics? A two-day workshop will focus on needs assessment, course design, training methodologies and presentation skills. Spots are limited so register today!

Volunteering
This is a great way to learn, network and sharpen your leadership skills! Both short-term and long-term opportunities are available. Call us today!
