Dear
ASTD-Cascadia Chapter Members:
Happy New Year!
As you look forward to your professional development this year, I hope that you find your monthly Chapter programs will be
instrumental in providing you with a variety of opportunities for
learning, networking and serving.
Our program mission is to deliver relevant topics by subject matter
experts to help you sharpen your skills, add to your base of
knowledge and provide you with opportunities to connect with other
professionals in the training and development field.
This month, we kick of the New Year with a dynamic presentation on
Building Evaluation Capacity: Teaching Evaluation Concepts by
Darlene Russ-Eft, PhD. As the training and development industry
faces increasing pressure to justify training budgets, this relevant
program will provide participants with specific tools to effectively build
evaluation capacity in their organization.
Our monthly programs also provide members with additional professional development opportunities through volunteering! We are
always in need of and appreciative of individuals who volunteer their
time to help with the monthly programs. It's a great way to connect
with other professionals and, of course, we have a lot of fun along the way. If you are interested in volunteering, please send me an email at
the address listed below and I can tell you about the variety of
program volunteer opportunities.
And finally, please know that we are always open to hearing your
comments and suggestions on ways that we can better serve chapter
members. Together, we work to insure that our collective efforts
contribute to your professional development.
As our 2005 program year begins, I want to wish you all a prosperous New Year!
