The VP of Human Resources researches options, strategizes and
guides the direction of the Chapter's volunteer efforts as well as any community initiatives requiring human capital..
As with all board members, the VP of Human Resources is guided by the
Policies
and Procedures Manual as well as any other policy or
procedure developed by the various functional areas.
Each month, the VP of Human Resources requests an updated
list of active and current volunteers from each board
member. This information is compiled and provided to the
Business Manager so that a cumulative and current list of
active volunteers is maintained. This list can be used to
contact all volunteers.
Board members can obtain a list
of members who would like to volunteer in their
functional area by contacting the Business Manager. This
information is updated automatically when new members come
on board and when current members renew. If there is a
specific volunteer activity that needs new volunteers, we
can send an email to the membership with specific
information about such a need.
The Business Manager maintains a stock of thank you cards
and envelopes for board members to use in thanking their
volunteers.
The Chapter tries to hold volunteer recognition events on
a regular basis. Sometimes these events are held after
regular programs and sometimes they are held just for
volunteers.
