Informal Learning in the workplace
By Christine Martell | May 7, 2008
Jay Cross, the author of Informal Learning , has released a very helpful whitepaper, How to set up online collaboration in corporations . He includes checklists and ideas about:
- What’s in it for you?
- Start with something easy
- Best practices with social software
- Challenge the project champion
- Sustain momentum
He’s also doing a survey about the use of informal learning practices in the workplace. You can get a copy of the results when it is finished. It only took me a couple of minutes to finish it, and I think the results will be very helpful to understand the barriers people in businesses are facing to implementing these tools.
