New training blogs
By Christine Martell | March 5, 2008
We have two new ASTD-Cascadia member blogs. Check them out, there is some great material there.
First our VP of Human Resources, Shari Ward has started her own blog. She has continued in the tradition of her posts here on BlogCascadia, writing about her passion for strengths and more about the process of earning her Certified Professional in Learning and Perfomance (CPLP). She’s even been writing guest posts over at the Bamboo Project about her process of working with Michele to utilize online tools in her latest SUCCESSFUL job search. Congrats Shari!
I also want to introduce our new PodCascadia producer, Richard Watson. Richard is a new member of ASTD-Cascadia who responded to our call for volunteers on the podcast. We are really excited to have him, as he has an unusual and oh so very useful skill set that combines classroom, e-learning, and IT level security stuff. I’m sure there is a better way to describe it, but basically he’s written a bunch of books on Windows and Security and the type of things that make most of us learning professionals cringe BUT he’s one of us, so he can explain it. His new blog is written for us, but has stuff on it about how to talk to the IT people and why all our new media stuff makes them crazy. I’ve been learning a lot of new things reading his posts.
Do drop by and see what they are up to. And leave them a comment or two. Bloggers like nothing better than when someone comments on their posts– especially when you have a new blog. It can feel like you are writing to a big empty space for quite a while.
Both of them are putting a lot of volunteer effort into making the chapter better for all of us. So thank you Shari and Richard for all of your time and energy. And also for sharing your expertise with the world through your blogs.
